The purchasing decision
A minimum order discussion needs a defined configuration. A total quantity divided across several models, colours and logos is not the same production programme as one model in one colour. Prepare a SKU schedule before asking a supplier to confirm what is practical for the project.
Separate the factors that create variation: shell colour, material, trim, artwork and retail pack. Some choices may be shared across the range, while others need model-specific preparation. Ask the supplier to explain the proposed quantity basis for each combination rather than assuming a headline MOQ applies to every variant.
Use the schedule to balance launch breadth and replenishment. It may be useful to start with fewer distinct configurations and extend after customer demand is clearer. Keep any agreed minimums, material commitments and repeat-order conditions in the quotation. Do not publish a universal MOQ based on a different product or an earlier order.

Identify the model and the version of any drawing or artwork. Ask for assumptions, proposed changes, packing details and commercial terms to be shown in the quotation. MOQ, sample cost and production timing are confirmed for the agreed configuration.

The number of separate materials, colours, artworks and constructions can change the production work.
Can I use an MOQ from one model for another?
Ask for confirmation on the actual configuration. A previous figure may not apply to a different material or assortment.
