The purchasing decision
A dry bag logo should be approved in relation to the bag’s shape and construction. Start with the available panel, then identify seams, folds, pockets and reinforcement that may constrain placement. A graphic sized for a flat proof can appear different when the bag is filled or the top is closed. Review the printed area on the actual model.
Provide editable artwork where available, a defined print size and the position measured from an agreed reference point. Discuss the print process, colour reference and how small lettering will be reproduced on the selected surface. A photographic mock-up helps communication, but the sample is the place to inspect edges, coverage and how the print follows the material texture.
For a multi-size order, create an artwork schedule that states whether the same graphic size is used everywhere. Keep a record of the approved colour and placement for each SKU. Include handling and rub-related evaluation in the sample discussion if the application demands it, and define the acceptance method rather than relying on a vague request for permanent printing.
What to compare before ordering
| Decision | Review with the supplier | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Placement | Measure from a seam or panel reference. | Avoid ambiguous centred-logo instructions. |
| Artwork scale | Check text and shapes at final size. | Review on the actual bag surface. |
| SKU control | Map artwork to size and colour variants. | Keep revision records for repeats. |
Include these details in your enquiry
- Editable logo and final print dimensions
- Measured placement on each selected model
- Colour reference and print-process proposal
- Printed sample approval and evaluation method
Identify the model and the version of any drawing or artwork. Ask for assumptions, proposed changes, packing details and commercial terms to be shown in the quotation. MOQ, sample cost and production timing are confirmed for the agreed configuration.
Buyer questions
Can one logo size be used for every capacity?
It can be proposed, but panel proportions and pockets may change between models. Approve the result for each SKU.
What is the difference between a visual proof and a sample?
A visual proof confirms the intended layout. A printed sample shows the actual surface, colour appearance and reproduction quality.
