The purchasing decision

A travel distributor often needs a dry bag that fits into a larger kit before use. The sourcing brief should therefore cover the packed or folded product as well as the filled bag. Ask how straps, buckles and reinforced panels affect folding. A soft-looking shell does not by itself establish a compact retail pack.

Compare samples using a repeatable fold and unpack sequence. Check whether the product can be displayed with instructions and whether any closure part is bent or crowded by the chosen pack. If the bag is supplied inside a carry sleeve, confirm whether that sleeve is part of the specification or only a presentation accessory.

Define the customer journey from shelf to trip. A clear capacity illustration, accurate bag dimensions and visible closure instructions help travel buyers understand the product. Build shipping estimates from the actual packed sample and carton layout. This makes a packable dry bag programme easier to compare with other compact travel accessories.

Buyer questions

Can every roll-top bag be sold as packable?

Confirm the folded result on the selected construction. Reinforcement, hardware and straps can change the practical packed size.

Which dimensions should appear in the quotation?

Separate finished bag dimensions, folded retail pack dimensions and outer carton dimensions. Each describes a different part of the supply chain.
