The purchasing decision
A patterned dry tube bag needs artwork planned around a three-dimensional body. Identify where the body joins, where the base meets the shell and how the graphic sits when the top is closed. An image designed as a flat rectangle may break unexpectedly at a seam or lose an important element in the closure folds.
Provide a repeat pattern or a panel layout with a clear orientation. Decide whether exact alignment is critical or whether a tolerance is acceptable. Review colour appearance on the selected material rather than assuming a screen proof is sufficient. Small text, gradients and high-contrast lines can reveal different reproduction issues.
Approve a complete printed sample and record its artwork revision. If the same design is used across several capacities, review how the pattern scale changes the visual result. The specification should distinguish between a fixed-size logo, a repeating background and any information that must remain readable after the bag is closed.

Can a full-body pattern be approved from a logo mock-up?
A logo mock-up does not show the repeat, seam alignment or closure area. Use a full panel layout and a completed sample.
Should pattern scale change with bag size?
Decide that explicitly. A fixed repeat and a proportionally scaled repeat create different visual results.
