The purchasing decision

A larger dry bag changes more than the amount of fabric in the body. It can hold a heavier or more awkward load, and that affects carrying comfort, anchor placement and packing access. A 40L-class project should begin with representative contents and a target load rather than a scale factor applied to a smaller tube.

Ask the supplier to propose body proportions, mouth width and a carry arrangement for that use. Compare whether the bag will be lifted by a handle, carried on one shoulder or worn as a backpack. Mark the load-bearing parts in the drawing and review them on a loaded sample. Exterior storage should have a defined purpose instead of being added only for appearance.

Keep capacity, usable packing and shipping volume separate in the quote. Larger products may be folded differently for retail packing, and hardware can influence the folded result. Before an assortment is approved, check both the customer’s packing task and the distributor’s receiving requirements.

Include these details in your enquiry

  • Target 40L-class capacity and contents
  • Load-bearing drawing and carry method
  • Closure access and reinforcement proposal
  • Folded retail pack and carton plan

Identify the model and the version of any drawing or artwork. Ask for assumptions, proposed changes, packing details and commercial terms to be shown in the quotation. MOQ, sample cost and production timing are confirmed for the agreed configuration.

Buyer questions

Can an existing smaller bag simply be enlarged?

Use it as a design reference, then review the larger model’s load, access and carry system independently.

Are linked models guaranteed 40L products?

They illustrate construction directions. Request a model-specific proposal and confirmed capacity for the larger project.
