Use a fit sequence that checks insertion, closure operation, viewing area and removal. Repeat it with the lanyard attached if it changes how the pouch hangs or bends. Record which combinations pass and which require a different size. This turns an informal fit opinion into a compatibility record that can support packaging copy.
If devices change between the approval sample and production order, revisit the compatibility list. Do not extend a claim solely because a new phone has a similar diagonal screen size. A replacement design should be reviewed for the whole body envelope and the intended camera or touch interaction.
